Jon,
I send mine to Hoover & Strong, very reliable people and fast pay.
Their website is www.hooverandstrong.com and the phone is 800-759-9997.
Last I sent in they paid spot less $100 for refining charge.
Give it a try, best of luck. Hope this helps.
John.

Jon,
I forgot to say.....you might check with Ray Viramontez for ideas.
Ray is a fellow Guild member and deals in gold and silver.
He may have the best advise for you.
You can reach him at SgtVira@aol.com phone 229-432-9683.
Best regards, John.

Hi Jon, 24k has a fairly high flow point but nothing you couldn't manage. I'll bet you could approach your local jeweller and ask him to melt and pour it into a flat or round mold. I'm a goldsmith among other thingsa and always buy bullion and mix my own various karats. Its much cheaper to do it this way. If you have a friend with oxy/acy set up,, simply add your shavings together in a depression in a brick,, sprincle it liberally with powdered borax ( laundry cleaner)as (anti-oxidant) and melt it into a lump. This you can flatten on any hard surface into sheet and cut with shears into strips,, as thin as you want.
