Topic: engraving a Browning Silver Hunter Number of Responses: 1
I have a Browning Silver Hunter that I am planning on giving to a friend of mine. He is a Marine and I would like to engrave the Marine Corp. Emblem on the gun. I believe that the receiver of this gun is aluminum that has been anodized. I was wondering if anyone has worked on one of these and what the difficulties are. I am a jeweler by trade and have never engrave on a fire arm before so any information would be very helpful. Thanks you in advance, Tim |

Topic: Engraver Justin Michilena 1950s Miami--anyone know what happened to him? Number of Responses: 0
Looking for any information on Justin Michilena, 1950s engraver worked out of a shop on SW 8th street in Miami. He was from Cuba, had a son that engraved as well until an injury stopped him from doing so. Can't recall the name of his son...any information could prove to be helpful. Thanks! |

Topic: FEGA window decals Number of Responses: 0
I see in some of the forum topics people asking if there are any more window decals available. I am a FEGA member and also own a sign/ graphics shop and have the capibilitys to produce any and all types of window decals. I use thermal transfers printers for this type of stickers so they are the good stuff and can be expected to last at least 5 to 10 years outdoors. I would be more than willing to provide them for any members at my cost. I would consider it a honor to do what ever I could to help our cause. The decals cost will be less the larger the quantity so if there was someone that would be interested in arranging some way to compile the orders so I could print them one there are several on order say once a month or something like that the cost could kept to a minuim. The art work for the logo is available on this site and it cost no more to add anything else that someone may want on the decal. For instance I can include the members name or company name or year or member seincs or anything else that anyone wants on it. If anybody's interested contact me at

Topic: Engraving and gold inlays! Does anyone recognise the work on this Colt SAA? Number of Responses: 5
I'm hoping some of you folks can recognise the craftsman who did the engraving and the gold inlays on this glorious Colt Single Action Army. The only thing that I know for certain is that he/she had to be associated with John Jovino in the 1978 time frame.
I'll attempt to attach both a long shot and a close-up. If I can only attach one photo, it'll be the long shot. If you'd like to see additional images, you can email me at mr.1897@gmail.com

Topic: REX, GET WELL. Number of Responses: 8
Upon opening my issue #90 of the ENGRAVER magazine it was with great sadness and concern that I read of the resignation of Rex Pedersen as President of our Guild due to his health.
Rex has been a great President, an active and go-to BoD officer for many years before that and a great friend to all members who needed his help and guidance.
I have been proud to call him MR. President or Mr. Rex or just plain friend Rex.
Rex has given so much to us all, now it is our turn to return to him some of the love and support he has so freely given.
Let us pray for his swift return to full health.

Topic: Engraver Information Number of Responses: 2
While on vacation recently we stopped in at the Boise Cabelas to look at Elmer Keith's firearms. I noted that he had 1917 whose engraving was signed "T.Moro" and dated 1974. Was he/she a member? Is he still around? This not really important, but I am curious.

Topic: Colt S.A.A engraved Number of Responses: 0
I have recently purchased a Colt S.A.A. which was engraved after market. I believe that it was done in the 50's, the engraver may have been located in Reno Nv. He engraved his initals into the front of the frame, under the ejector housing. "The initals are ( G L ), does anybody have any information in this engraver.
Thank you
