Has anyone tried to use the HSS Square tool bits that you can get from a machine shop supply house?
I'm very new to this having just retired and an interest in engraving since I was a kid have finally decided to try my hand at it and hopefully I'll be able to attend a school after the first of the year
I'm using a Gravermiester
Thanks
Bob

I have used them quite a lot and they work as good as any HSS gravers from the usual engraving sources... the only problem is finding then in smaller thicknesses than 1/8".

Bob,

Your best bet would be to contact Ray Phillips at the Ngraver Company
#1-860-823-1533. He can supply you with Carbide and Cobalt gravers.

thank you for the quick answer, As I browse this web site and thumb thru the
Engraver news letter I'in constant awe of the skill and talent that is often displayed, also of the knowledge that is so freely shared.
When I first started to have an intrest in this art to find someone willing to share their knowledge was almost impossible.
