Editor Andrew Biggs and Issue 75.

Congratulations to Editor Andrew Biggs on our new and wonderful Issue 75 if the Engraver journal, the first under his direction.
If this edition is an indicator of thing to come we have many very valuable and interesting educational treats in store in the future editions.

The quality of the layout, photographs and text by the contributors is outstanding.
Thank you all, and congratulations on your fine work and excellent articles.
And let’s remember to thank and support our faithful advertisers.
The revenue derived from their advertisements plays a great part to offset the cost of publication of our journal.

The editorial quality of our fine newsletter has been passed into good hands by the selection of Andrew as our new editor by President Rex, V.P. Bill Gamradt, the previous editor, and the other officers of FEGA.
Thank you all for your good judgment and foresight.
Thank you to Bill Gamradt for the huge load you carried by doing triple duty for so long. A lesser man would have stumbled under this load and you never missed a beat.

Thanks for the compliment John.
Also, thanks to Andrew for the great job he has done with the newsletter. Living here in Montana, apparently at the end of the road, I haven't received my newsletter quite yet. I am anxious to see it and I am glad it is in such capable hands.

Gee Bill, I thought I was always last. It is a bang-up issue and Andrew has carried on the fine work of our past editors. Just don't know how he will improve on his first issue...stay tuned! S

I would also like to thank Andrew & crew for a bang up job(no pun intended)on this most recent issue of the Engraver. What an honor it is for my work to be included alongside such recognized and accomplished artists/engravers!

I must agree with Barry Lee Hands that the bar for quality engraving IS being raised and I too believe that we really are in a renaissance period of time for the engraving arts!
The quality and substance of this most recent issue can only help to further the efforts of those working to ensure that engraving receives the recognition it truly deserves as fine art!

Thanks again to all!!

Thanks for all the compliments. I really appreciate it.

Bill handed me over a very slick package to work with and made the transition very easy for me as he did all the really hard yards. The printers are great to work with and it was Bill that set this up as well. He still isn’t quite off the hook as he gives me excellent advise and helps with the proof reading…………..Thank goodness!!!

Rex is also a big participant as I run most ideas past him rather frequently as well so I can keep on the straight and narrow.

Any magazine or publication is only as good as the words in it and we are really lucky to have some first class people taking the time to write up the articles and provide photos of their work. It takes a lot of time and effort to write an article and all that work is really appreciated by the members.

There are some really exciting and informative articles and photos coming up in future editions.

John B and quite a few others have written really good articles for the next edition and Sam has just e-mailed me a really interesting article about…………………..

Nah!!!!!!!!!! I won’t spoil the surprise. You’ll just have to wait for the next issue 

Cheers
Andrew
