A Kiwi Experience of Reno

Hi Everyone

Well, what can I say. It was a real pleasure to meet you all at Reno. It was everything I thought it would be and then a whole lot more. The friendship and generosity of spirit you guys extended to me was beyond measure. I really can't express my gratitude enough. I felt as though I was meeting up with old family members that I felt really comfortable around.

As for the engraving side of things.........that was just out of this world. WOW can't even begin to describe it all. My head is still spinning from the shear talent of it all.

I'm sitting at John Barraclogh's place writing this as my first USA experience still isn't over. I head home on the 10th (USA time) We only got into the engraving side of things today and already my notebook is filled from the FEGA show and Johns wonderful teaching.

To everyone I met at the show I would like to say a big thank you for your hospitality and friendship. It means a great deal to me and will always be appreciated. I feel very proud to be an international member of FEGA.

Will I be back.................damn right. Wild horses couldn't keep me away!!!!!!!!!!

Very best wishes
Andrew Biggs

Andrew,

You did a great job on your seminar. As for meeting you the pleasure was all mine. I have to agree that the engraving is/was amazing. This was also my first time attending and I was a bit overwhelmed but everyone made me feel welcome and to all of you I say thanks.

You're very lucky to be able to spend so much time with John.

Andrew,
I think I can speak for all in saying it was a pleasure to finally get a chance to meet and visit with you!
As you found out, we are not only a bunch of engravers but a group of friends. Many of us have been coming since the start of the guild. It was also very nice to see a WHOLE bunch of new faces as well this year. Not only did we have many new members show up to visit but also had many more new exhibitors as well. It is always hard to convince anyone to make the trip but once they do, they are hooked! It was one of the best shows ever and the future of FEGA looks fantastic!

Andrew, I have been to them all and I must say meeting and visiting with you helped make this the best show in my memory. I hope your experience will encourage other members, even other international members, to attend next year. FEGA has been about the best thing in my life over the years and I just hope everyone else gets as much out of it as I. We all look forward to your return, and also your continued input to the forum. Have a safe trip home and don't stay away so long nest time!!! S

Andrew - It was my pleasure to meet you. I did get the opportunity to view your work first hand. It is hard to believe that you have only been engraving for such a short period of time. Cherrie and I truly look forward to seeing you again. I got the feeling that your experience here was a good one.

Hi to all my dear friends of FEGA.
At this moment Andrew is sleeping.
I want to thank you all for making him so welcome in the great American way.
I am sorry that my cold prevented me from having closer contact with many of my dear feiends as I feel that this was the best FEGA love-in I have had the pleasure of attending.
Best wishes and regards to all.

PPssttt John
Since Andrew is sleeping.............sneak into his room and place his hand in a warm bucket of water and then sneak out. It's about time he found out what we really are like.
It was great seeing everyone again this year and I am as always looking forward to the next one. Stay well all

Okay, I would have guessed it was you Marty --- only your sence of humor would have bounced that up so quickly. Great to see you're still on top of your game -- never a dull moment. I still remember you from Salt Lake City ---- you were a hoot then too. Ken
