The way it works is that you enter your image or text into a computer program such as Photoshop or Corel to digitize it. You then print it out to an ink jet printer and print it onto a transparancy. Clean the metal area with acetone. Apply the Transfer Magic Solution to the area with a Q-tip. Allow the area to dry, tape the transparency image in place with the injet side down. Burnish the back of the image and the image will transfer every detail to the metal, ivory or whatever.
The solution is advertised in the "Engraver Journal". It is available from... Transfer Solutions,
10170 Poquito Valley Rd,
Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
They include instructions, how to set up your printer and the best transparency film to buy.
It's a great system. Hope this is some help, best of luck.
Happy Thanksgiving.
