Lynton Mckenzie

G'DAY FOLKS

A cry for help from Australia.
I am trying to put together a biography of Lynton Mckenzie's life and would desperatly love to hear any anecdotes or true life stories of this remarkable man.

Hello Roger,
Just joined FEGA & read your posting of 2007.
Subject: Lynton McKenzie.
Was a friend & collegue of Lyntons in the mid-1960's.
We worked for Mike Armatage of Tower Gun Works in Teddington, U.K.
He & his wife & son were also neighbors of mine.
Have a few stories if you are still interested.
Lost contact after I left to go home to Canada.
Last I heard was that Lynton went to the U.S. & has since past away.
Cheers,
Dave Hardy

It will be interesting to see if Roger sees this. Meanwhile, welcome aboard David. I think you will enjoy FEGA.

Welcome to Fega and this forum, Dave.
I hope you are still engraving and would enjoy hearing more from you about your work together with Lynton in the U.K.
Lynton was a very powerful talent and influence on the engraving field in general.

As Sam Welch said, it will be interesting to see if Roger sees your post and responds to you.
Sadly we don't get as much traffic on this forum as it deserves.

Best regards,
John.

Well, I finally saw this thread but I doubt if the original poster will return to it. Usually on this board if the original poster doesn't get responses within a few hours or a day at most they never return to find the responses that trickle in over a few weeks.

I do have personal stories about LSMMc but I won't take the time to relate any here unless the original poster returns to indicate active interest.

Thanks, Roger Bleile.

Good to see you checking in here.
What you say is true of most forums, sadly.
People ask questions and never bother to acknowledge those that take the time and trouble to post a reply.

I hope your outstanding book is doing well, it's a treasure.

Best.
John.
