motorcycle parts, how do you hold them in your vise

I have been asked to engrave some Harley parts and have never turned something that large and awkward before. How do you who have done it do it?

Bruce, I do not engrave motorcycle parts, but usually any large awkward item is screwed or bolted onto a piece of plywood.
on the back of the plywood you can attach a 1x1 to use as a rail to grab with your vise.
