Needs Help with Firearm Stenciling

Hello all, I am trying to engrave on firearms and knives. My question is that i would like to know how do I put on a paper stencil on the metal before engraving. I have tried using the Damar's Art Varnish but i cant get it right. So right now i do all drawings by drawing on contact. Can someone help me, this will be greatly appreciated. -Thank you :) have a good day

Yadram. There are two easy ways.
Print your artwork out on regular photocopy paper. Clean the area on the metal with a little acetone, and dry it. Place the photocopy, image side down on the metal. Wipe the back of the paper with a Q-tip or small piece of cloth dampened with acetone.
With a little practice, you will get a decent image transfer.
The best way is with Transfer Magic, using an Inkjet printer on transparency film. Much easier to position your image and get clear, highly detailed images. Contact them at;
Transfer Solutions,10170 Poquito Rd, Prescott Valley. AZ 86314.
Hope this is some help, best of luck.

Hello Jim.
Transfer Magic is a solution made by;
Transfer Solutions.
10170 Poquito Valley Road,
Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
You apply it to the surface with a Q-tip and allow it to quickly dry. You then place your image that is printed on an Inkjet printer transparency film, ink side down. Burnish the back of the transrarency to transfer a perfect image.
The company can provide you with complete details. Great product.
Hope this is some help. Best wishes and happy engraving.
John.
