Sam Alfano has put together a great site with how-to info, lots of interesting stuff and now has added an engraving forum as well. It is open to hand engraving of all kinds.

I'll second Rex's pitch for Sam Alfano's Cafe website. It is very user friendly and there is an abundance of information passed on there. You professional engravers could add a great deal to the questions being asked there. I get paid for this pitch (or not).
