adobe photoshop workshop

I just finished watching the Marty Rabeno workshop dvd. This has to be the most useful and clearest explanations of how to use one of the imaging softwares I have run across. Just a great dvd. During the workshop someone asked if the photoshop elements software can do the same steps as the photoshop 7.0 that Marty Rabeno was using, but that wasn't answered during the dvd. I was wondering if anyone can provide an answer to this.

Thanks for the compliment Allen. I think I remeber the question being asked while I was giving the seminar. I am unfamiliar with photoshop elements but I really don't see why it wouldn't work being an adobe program. Maybe some of the command sequences might be a hair different but it should be doable. Some other photo tweeking or design progams might work out the same also with a little experimentation like the ones that come with digital cameras. Usually these have alot of capabilities but on a simpler level. Perhaps someone reading this post who has a little more knowledge than I do can enlighten both of us. HEY>>>>>>.BILL is pretty darn good with photoshop.......

That was a great seminar.
Like Marty, I am have not used PS Elements. From what I have read about it, I am sure it would do all of what Marty talked about. For engraving purposes, and even for rather extensive photo-editing, Elements will work well for you and the cost is quite a bit less than the full program.

thanks for the responses. I think I'll try the elements software as I probably wouldn't do more than what was gone over in the seminar.

I have a few of the seminar vhs tapes, but since they've become available on the dvd format I plan buy quite a few more. They are just a tremendous resource.
