Questions on engraving

Hello. I have a 1903 Springfield sporter with some beautiful engraving. Who does this kind of work and how much does it cost? The floorplate and triggerguard are also engraved and the floorplate has a silver Elk heat on it. Would the engraver left his mark on it somewhere? Regards, Rick.
