RALPH BONE

Rosemary Bone just called me and told me that Ralph passed away yesterday. For those of us that knew Ralph, he was a true friend and gentleman. I will miss him dearly.

That is a great shock and sad news indeed.
Ralph was a great talent in many fields and one of the nicest and kindest gentlemen that you could ever hope to meet.
He always looked for and found the best in everyone.
Ralph will be deeply missed by all his many friends
A big hug and sincere condolences to Rosemary.
John.

It was a shock for me to hear this. Ralph was a great man and I really think he had no enemies. Of course he was one super engraver but more important he was just a great guy.

My very sincere condolences to his friends and family. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him I know he was well liked and respected within FEGA and the engraving community at large.

Sincerely

Its with my deepest sympathies and condolences that I participate in this thread. I had not met Ralph, but it was my hope to meet and speak with him at the upcoming show. I send my deepest thoughts and prayers to the family. In Germany one is only considered a master if he masters his trade, if he masters patience and masters all things around him. The Master will be missed...................M A Smith

I am very saddened to hear this news. Being Scottish and a maker of Scottish pistols, I was always enthralled with Ralph's mastery of engraving Celtic designs. I was also impressed with his humility about it and his willingness to allow me to do closeup photos of his work at the Reno show. I remember Rosemary getting up from her chair to assure that I had just the angles I wanted to photograph.

I have been working on, and will spend the rest of my days, attempting to emulate Ralph's Celtic design and engraving work.

May God grant Rosemary and their family his peace and comfort in this time of grief and loss.

I read on Sam Alfano's Engravers Cafe that Ralph Bone passed away recently.
He was a real decent man that loved engraving and FEGA.It was a pleasure to have known him.
He'll be missed.
All my prayers to Rosemary and family
