ANNEALING STAINLESS STEEL

HAS ANY ONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE ANEALING STAINLESS STEEL (PARTICULARLY THE SLIDES OF SEMI AUTOS)? WHAT TEMPATURES IN THE OVEN? ETC.

I see no one has responded to the annealing. I'm afraid I don't have an answer but I do have some cautions. I would think that this should be left to the experts. Annealing something like a slide of a pistol could cause problems unless it was hardened again properly. There are cases when non-critical parts such as a trigger guard can be annealed but I would stay away from critical parts like a slide or rifle/shotgun action.

As to the question about the Citori stainless steel, I was unaware they made one in stainless. They do offer a WHITE LIGHTNINIG model which has a nitride finish on it. Depending on each company, that can be a lot of things and can hard or just a finish. Maybe they do have a new stainless version but I haven't seen it.
