Yadram,
You can get the product manuals at grstools.com, look under product resources.

Yadram, removing the chrome is a tough one. You might contact a plating business to see if they can do stripping. Problem is their process might pit the steel as it removes the layers of plating (copper, nickel, then chrome has been plated on the gun). Another problem is they won't likely have an ffl which is required for the frame if they keep it from one business day to the next. You can sand off the plating but that is a hard tedious job and not for the faint of heart (or wise). You would be better off with a blued gun to start with. Sam

I have stripped a couple dozen frames in house. The Old Remington Derringers have really crummy cast iron, or crucible steel frames. So do pre 1890 or so english guns. If you try to strip the plating by electrolytic process the frame goes away along with the plating. On good steel(post 1903 0r so Colt SAA's for instance)you can strip chrome just by suspending in muriatic acid. If you have a rectifier or battery charger, Brownell's super strip works really well for non cast iron modern steels.
