I am selling a silver presentation cup given to William Walker Marston by his workmen, Dec. 2nd, 1862. Most likely, the occassion of his 40th birthday. The cup will be auctioned on ebay beginning Sunday night, February 5th, 2006. The auction will end February 12th, 2006 around 9:00 PM EST. The cup features and inscription and gun style floral engraving. For those unfamiliar with Marston he is best known as a maker of percussion pistols. He was involved in at least 9 different companies throughout his career. This cup is a one of a kind collector's item for the gun engraving enthusiast, or Civil War era gun maker collector. I am the owner of the silver presentation cup given to W.W.Marston on Dec. 2, 1842 by his workman. I have no plans to sell it. William Walker Marston was my great-grandfather.
