I would like to know if anyone out there has engraved a Weatherby Orion, and were ther any problems with it being too hard, like the Ruger pistols?

I don't have any personal experience to offer about engraving a Weatherby Orion. My advice, aside from taking the gun apart and trying a few test cuts in places which won't show, is to try calling Weatherby and talk to them about the project. Hopefully they will be able to tell you how suitable the metal is for engraving and even give you more information about the job you are contemplating than the test cuts will.
