Also, the letter sent to new and renewing members is a good opportunity to inform them about the guild website. Would you be able to include, information about the site - such as the opportunity for members to have pictures of their work online, and how it works, and how the username and password system now function? The letter also should save you time in the long run from having to explain, or answer questions, over and over again about the new opportunities and methods of the site. I know in the past that we did this with new members but it would be a good idea to include it in renewals as well. I think it would save a lot of phone calls and e-mails with questions. By using a mail merge the user name and password could be included in the letter.

I have no idea how many renewals have already been processed, so to cover those already processed and the future renewals, I propose that a letter or notification be composed and placed in the Engraver magazine. Bill, you know how to best explain how the regular and certified professional members can post their own pictures, possibly you could submit a letter to Shannon to place in the Engraver.
