I read on the Knife Network forum that Bertil Aasland passed away apparently due to heart problems. My regards to his family.

Brian, thank you for posting the sad news of Bertril's passing.
A great loss to his family and to the whole engraving fraternity.
He was a special friend to Steve Lindsay. He will be missed by all.
